Get updated during the revamped Horti Fair 2011

Rijk Zwaan extends a warm invitation to you to visit the Horti Fair, the largest international trade fair for technology, innovation and inspiration in horticulture.

The Horti Fair has a different set-up this year, making it more than ever the international platform with knowledge and information for hi-tech horticulture. With 600 participating companies, dozens of seminars, 9 themed pavilions and 30,000 visitors, the Horti Fair is the ultimate opportunity for an effective update.

Rijk Zwaan the main sponsor
Rijk Zwaan is totally behind the new approach of the Horti Fair. That is our motivation for supporting the event as the main sponsor. It is also exactly why we have our own stand at the fair (Hall 8, no. 315), where we look forward to meeting you and exchanging ideas about current developments in your particular crop.

If you would like to visit the Horti Fair, you can register digitally via the button to the right on this page. Pre-registration entitles you to free entry to the Horti Fair.

International Horti Congress
During the first International Horti Congress in the RAI building on Tuesday, 1 November 2011, from 3.30 pm onwards, international top speakers give their views on how horticulture can offer solutions for the current, global problems in the areas of food provision, energy and well-being and, the central theme this year, the Water issue. During the Horti Congress, Rijk Zwaan R&D manager Kees Reinink will give his views on the use of genetics in solving the global questions.

Technology and innovation
Technology and innovation are the driving forces in horticulture. On hundreds of stands, state-of-the-art developments for hi-tech horticulture are demonstrated, including glasshouse construction, climate-, crop-, watering- and feeding systems, grading lines, computer software, packaging, sales and management. That is why, during the Horti Fair, a professional jury will be presenting the Innovation Award to the company with the most appealing innovation. What’s new this year is that (inter)national trade journalists will be presenting the Press Award.

Extensive seminar programme
The Horti Fair offers a very extensive programme of seminars and events. You can attend seminars on widely-varying topics every day, free of charge. Click here to find the relevant program

Horti Fair Fresh
Horti Fair Fresh is a new component of the Horti Fair. Here, you will find the latest trends in fresh-processing. Horti Fair Fresh, with a stand focusing on the fresh end product of horticulture, was previously held in Rotterdam and was called AGF Totaal and Fresh Rotterdam. Sample tasty horticultural products in and around Horti Fair Fresh; take a look at innovative solutions in the areas of life science, logistics and ‘urban farming’.

Themed pavilions
The Horti Fair has, once again, a large number of themed pavilions: House of Technology & Innovation, House of Supply Chain, House of Quality, AVAG Market, Careers Plaza and Technical Trials. New this year are House of Communication and New to Market (for new companies and companies starting up).

International HortiWeek
The first week in November is HortiWeek: two international horticultural events with, jointly, 1,200 manned stands, take place in that one week. They are the Horti Fair and the FloraHolland Trade Fair. Free bus services operate between the two events. During this week and also in the RAI building, the international water week takes place as well; a week comprising the Aquatech and Aquaterra exhibitions, several international congresses and the new Integrated Aqua Solutions exhibition, showcasing a number of prestigious water projects.
